Vydūno mintys apie meile

1. Tie, kas tikrai myli, vienas iš kito nieko nenori ir nelaukia. Tesirūpina tik tuo, kaip jam ar jai savo meilę parodyti. Meilė sau nieko nereikalauja, o tik dalina.
2. Kas tikrai myli, nepažįsta nepasitikėjimo. Jis myli taip pat, nepaisant to, kaip mylimoji ar mylimasis į tai atsiliepia.
3. Meilė kyla iš žmogaus branduolio. Nepažindamas savęs, žmogus nežino ir kas yra tikroj meilė.
4. Tikrai save pažinęs žmogus, gyvai jaučiantis savo dvasią-sielą ir jos ryšius su viskuo, kas yra, žino, kad yra vienas, vienui vienas. Jei žmogus to nesuvokia, kaip dažniausiai būna, ir gyvena aklais įprasto gyvenimo papročiais, tai skaudžiausioji tiesa, – kad jis yra vienui vienas – apsireikš jam mirties valandą.
5. Aišku, kad iš meilės kyla visa tai, kas yra. Ji yra visa ko pradžia. Meilė yra patsai kūrėjas. Dievas yra meilė – byloja šventraščiai, o išmintingieji sako, kad meilė yra vienybės sąmonė. Per šią vienybę galima susiliesti su kitu žmogumi, kuris taipogi jaučiasi vieningas su visumos Šaltiniu – Dievu. Nėra kito kelio.

1. Those who are truly in love do not want or expect anything from each other. They are only concerned about how to show their love for him or her. Love does not demand anything for itself, but only gives.
2. One who truly loves knows no mistrust. He or she loves in the same way, regardless of how the beloved responds.
3. Love comes from the core of a person. Without knowing oneself, one does not know what true love is.
4. The person who truly knows himself, who feels his spirit-soul and its relationship to all that is, knows that he is alone, alone alone. If, as is usually the case, he does not realise this and lives blindly in the habits of ordinary life, the most painful truth – that he is alone – will be revealed to him at the hour of death.
5. It is clear that all that exists comes from love. It is the beginning of all things. Love is the very creator. God is love, the scriptures say, and the wise say that love is the consciousness of oneness. Through this unity one can merge with another human being who also feels united with the Source of the whole – God. There is no other way.
